A message to our valued customers, employees, and vendors,

In the current environment, it is important for all of us to work smarter, safer, more flexibly, work to remain calm and to collaborate on the steps to ensure the safety and productivity of our employees, customers, partners, and communities. I want to personally update you on actions that Morgan is taking in regards to Coronavirus: Covid-19.

On March 22, 2020, Gov. Mike Dewine ordered Ohioans, not providing for essential industries, to “Stay at Home.” As a supplier for critical industries such as the Department of Defense and the steel industry, Morgan has been designated as an essential business. We have implemented the health and safety precautions outlined by the Ohio Department of Health to continue to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus. These items will be enforced through at least June 1st, 2020 (unless noted otherwise), or until updated with further amendments, as we will be monitoring the situation.

  • Deliveries to the Receiving Department: All drivers need to stay next to their vehicle until a Morgan employee gets in contact with them. We have instituted a no-contact rule with drivers while delivering or picking up whenever possible. Sanitizing wipes are available here for use by all parties.
  • Vendors: No visits will be permitted during the temporary policy period.
  • Facilities: The offices, break rooms, and bathrooms have been thoroughly cleaned with a CDC approved Electro-static spraying system that hospitals use to kill viruses, bacteria, and fungi and put a protective barrier on the surfaces in most cases up to 90 days. We have also increased cleaning frequency in all areas to 4 out of the 5 working days.
  • Employee Travel: We have instituted a no travel policy during this period. We have the ability to service you through online video conferencing and our cloud-based project management portal VPO.
  • All employees coming into work are required to check their temperature prior to doing so. Any employee with a fever, defined as 100.4 or higher, must stay at home until they are fever-free for 72 hours.
  • While our building is open, 50% of our campus is and will be working remotely until at least May 18th, 2020 based on the recommendations outlined by Governor Dewine. This allows us to practice social distancing. Regardless of individual location, we remain accessible via email, phone and video conferencing.

We continue to monitor the recommendations of the CDC, our State and Local Officials. We have put in place every action necessary to protect the health and safety of our employees, keeping them in conditions of working efficiently and safely, as well as maintaining continuity of manufacturing, commercial and technical assistance with the same quality levels, without any serious limitation at this moment. As information changes, we will communicate it to you.

We feel strong in being able to reassure you on our availability and ability, to support you in the activities, to be operational and to respect every commitment with your company. We understand that these are unusual circumstances, and everyone is impacted in unique ways. We are in constant communication with our supply chain and it is still unclear as to the potential impact of productivity at this time. As it becomes more clear, we will notify you of the impact.

We value each and every one of our clients and want to keep everyone as healthy as possible as this virus runs its course. Please let me know if you have any questions at all about the above temporary policy. Thank you,

Mark L. Fedor, P.E.
