Morgan Engineering Continues Support of Community Efforts

/ News

2024 has been an outstanding year for Morgan Engineering, as the company continues to strengthen and support the community around it. Mark Fedor P.E., Morgan Engineering owner and CEO, says “The foundation of any good community is cyclical between the people and the businesses. Morgan is proud to accept the responsibility of providing resources necessary to make opportunities ample for the city of Alliance.”

Deep Roots in Alliance, Ohio

Alliance, Ohio, has been home to Morgan Engineering since 1868. Morgan’s founder, Thomas Rees Morgan, moved from Pittsburgh to Alliance for the city’s potential and lower land costs. Most companies at the time saw their employees as an expendable resource. Morgan knew that his employees deserved to be invested in. “Morgan was physically disabled early in life and understood that education was a path toward greater success,” explains Fedor. “He encouraged and provided resources for employees to pursue education, family, and community involvement. It’s a pattern that we continue today.”

Supporting Local Organizations

In 2024, Morgan Engineering donated to 25 organizations near our locations in Alliance and Girard, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan. These contributions span schools, sports teams, community events, and nonprofit organizations. Employees are encouraged to seek out donations toward organizations they’re passionate about, fostering personal connections and meaningful impact.

“Community support has always followed the idea of growing where we are planted. If Morgan donates to local schools through the college level, that results in an abundance of highly educated or trained professionals and not just for Morgan Engineering.” Fedor continues, “Companies can instill the same sense of responsibility into their employees by providing avenues toward community involvement, education, and a wider world.”

Morgan employees were able to bring in purchased gifts or make a monetary donation that was used to buy additional gifts for the 13 families at Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter in December 2024.

Impacting Education, Safety, and Recreation

Morgan Engineering’s generosity is seen in programs like the annual safety calendar contest with Alliance City Schools, which promotes safety awareness among students. As well as, financial contributions to non-profit organizations like the Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter and United Way that allow people a soft-landing place before getting back on their feet. Additionally, Morgan Engineering’s involvement in improving local outdoor community spaces like the Sean Scott Rotary Memorial Skate Park, encourages community recreation and togetherness.

Fedor concludes, “As Morgan grows, so will our contributions to our community and we’re not slowing down anytime soon.”
