OEM-Grade Installation and Commissioning for Any Crane

At Morgan Site Services, we provide industry-leading crane installation and commissioning backed by the engineers who design the systems. Whether you’re installing a Morgan crane or equipment from another OEM, our certified experts will ensure it’s installed, tested, and calibrated to exact specifications.

Why Proper Crane Installation Matters

Crane installation is not just about placing equipment, it’s about setting the foundation for long-term performance, safety, and compliance. Improper installation can result in premature wear and costly repairs, unsafe working conditions, and increased downtime.

No matter the OEM, every Morgan crane installation is:

  • Aligned to OEM standards—regardless of manufacturer
  • Performed by NCCCO-certified riggers with OSHA 30 training
  • Fully compliant with all applicable safety regulations

Our Seamless Crane Installation Process

We follow a step-by-step installation and commissioning process designed in a circular pattern to minimize disruption and maximize uptime:

  1. Site Evaluation & Planning: Our process begins with a detailed on-site assessment of your facility’s infrastructure, load demands, and operational needs. This upfront analysis helps us plan for optimal installation and long-term performance.
  2. Engineering Alignment: Structural drawings, OEM specifications, and load data are reviewed by our in-house engineering team to ensure full alignment between the crane system and your facility.
  3. Collaboration: We work directly with contractors during the installation process and load testing from start to finish to ensure everything is done correctly. Our customer portal provides real-time visibility, and our cross-department communication ensures your specifications stay front and center from fabrication to installation.
  4. Fabrication & Delivery: If custom components are needed, they’re machined and assembled at our U.S.-based facility with quality assurance at every step. For third-party OEM equipment, we apply the same crane installation rigor and verification process. If a necessary change needs to occur, we handle it or supervise another contractor from start to finish to make the change.
  5. Crane Installation: Our NCCCO-rigger certified and OSHA 30-trained crane technicians handle the physical crane installation, including crane rail systems and automation components. Every mechanical and electrical system is calibrated for safe and efficient operation.
  6. Commissioning & Final Inspection: Before turnover, we perform a comprehensive crane inspection and commissioning process. This includes functionality checks, load testing, automation calibration, and safety compliance review.
  7. Ongoing Support & Maintenance: After your crane installation, our site services team remains available 24/7 for maintenance, emergency repairs, and upgrades, ensuring your crane continues to meet or exceed performance expectations.

Types of Cranes We Install

Whether it’s a Morgan-built crane or one from another OEM, our Morgan Site Services team installs each system with precision and care.

  • Overhead Bridge Crane Installation

We install overhead bridge cranes for steel, manufacturing, and industrial facilities across the U.S. Whether it’s a Morgan crane or another OEM’s system, we ensure installation meets performance and safety standards.

  • Charge Cranes Installation

Morgan has decades of experience designing and installing charge cranes for the melt shop environment. We apply the same expertise when installing third-party equipment, ensuring cranes can withstand high heat, heavy loads, and harsh cycles. We also support retrofits with modern hoists, controls, and safety systems.

  • Coil Cranes Installation

Our team installs coil cranes for steel, metal fabrication, and manufacturing operations—whether we’ve built the system or not. We can also integrate coil handling attachments such as hooks, up-enders, and vertical or horizontal tongs to meet your facility’s specific needs.

  • Ladle Cranes Installation

Ladle crane installation requires precision due to extreme operating conditions. Our experts install Morgan or OEM ladle cranes with proper calibration, load safety checks, and thermal protection to help minimize downtime and extend service intervals.

  • Severe Duty Cranes Installation

From slag handling to waste incineration, severe duty cranes must endure intense environments. We install all major OEM brands with care and can incorporate Morgan-built components when needed, like heat-protected electrical systems and reinforced structural assemblies.

Our experienced engineering team is also equipped to design custom crane replacement parts for any make or model, even if you don’t have the original manufacturer’s drawings. Whether you need standard components or unique solutions, Morgan Engineering has you covered.

  • Monorail Systems Installation

Morgan installs monorail cranes and rail systems from any OEM. We can also design and implement custom layouts, turnkey rail installations, and service hoists using high-quality components to meet your operational and safety requirements.
